As the title says..

I'm pretty sure I need the the following.

Cruise Module
Throttle Cable
Brake Switch
Stalk
Wiring harness (to connect up the module)

Is the wiring in place to connect the harness up in the Executive or will I have to f*ck around a bit?

Any other complications, issues, advice?

Cheers..

Hi mate,
Don't have any answers for you but keep us up to date on how you go with that. I'm going to be doing some hefty highway miles in my exec soon and would be interested in doing the same thing.

Firstly welcome back Shounak...;)

You will need all the parts that you have listed.

All the wiring is in place, its pretty much plug and play with the electrical harness on the Executive.

The genuine Holden cruise control kit comes with all necessary parts and fitting instructions.

I wouldn't buy an aftermarket one.

There are Genuine kits available on eBay. This seller regulary sells them.

Cheers Wag Man..

$339 is a bit expensive for me though.. A wrecker told me he could get me module, stalk and cable for $150.. Probably about $200 for loom and switch included..

I'll see how I go..

Thanks mate..

Yep the wrecker is on the ball!!! I picked mine up for 160 and fitted it straight into the car.. You do need a swith for the brake arm but a normal brake switch will not do.. It needs a switch that turns of when the peddle is pushed, not turns on. All i have done is put a peice of wire with two male blades on the end and made a jumper... The cruise module also relys on the brake switch as a back up if the other does not work,,, so two years on no probs

Ahh pulling apart the steering column was what I envisaged to be the easy part..

Is connecting up the wiring harness to the loom straightfoward?
