Reverse Camera Guide Lines

    Took my ute in again today to Alan Mance in West Footscray, asked them to check the mylink software, was advised that there is still no upgrade. Not impressed.
    Will email holden customer service to confirm and try again.

    Can confirm my 06/2014 build SS-V Redline received a Mylink upgrade today to fix iphone & USB issue, now have reverse gridlines.

    Ps, I don't see what the big deal is with them?

    Could you elaborate on the bold part?

    Are you talking iPod indexing? The shuffle issue? etc

    Mine's going in Wednesday for an update.

    I was told from a dealer in Camden that having an upgrade on my 2014 VF Evoke would put reverse grid lines for the camera....that was only yesterday...

    Iphone Bluetooth connection would drop out and have to be repaired constantly. USB music would not remember the song it was playing. So far I can confirm the USB issue is resolved, will find out with time if the iphone issue it resolved. Can't help with iphone music indexing sorry as it's my wife's phone ( I have an android) and she doesn't use it for music.

    Had a software update on my VF SS Wagon.

    I now have reverse line, but it didn't fix the forgetting shuffle issue.

    My Calais V is also exactly the same Part# and Software modules and I am looking into getting it down for the Iphone5 drop outs.
    I have been told 8-10? hrs as they have problems doing it .. and wont guarantee it works on my car. I simply said that my iphone works in a friends Calais V that has had the update and I know that it will work on my car. (yet to book it in due to the lack of a card for 8-10hrs...)

    How did you go with getting yours done? Did you take RoganJosh's advice about the customer service letter and see what they said?

    Update takes about 4 hours.

    I went in and said my iPhone 5 drops out and could they check for a software update.

    They advised me they'll try but csnt guarantee it'll be compatible.

    They were quite helpful.
    Unfortunately it didn't fix the ipod shuffling issue.

    I just got off the phone from Emily from Holden Customer Care.
    After sending her screenshots of my software versions, she said i have the latest. (Without reverse gridlines) She said that the newer software is not available for MY14 vehicles.
    I told her that i know for a fact that other owners have had an upgrade which gives them reverse lines. To which she replied, 'oh yeah, the only other reason that may be the case is if people have an iphone5 and that the decision to install that software is on a case by case basis if the person has that model phone.

    So it looks like i am still stuck for now.

    You're doing it wrong Brettv.

    Just go in and say your phone is disconnecting.

    I don't even own an iPhone but I told them my work phone was and it disconnecting all the time.

    I also said my android has no issues connecting, just the iPhone.

    I tried that one at my local dealer a few weeks ago, no cigar, i was told i need to re boot Mylink and install the latest iphone software.
    I gave up :-/

    Took the car for servicd. Notified of legitimate issues with pandora and bluetooth. Was told they were not aware of an update to mylink when told. I didnt believe this and questioned them. They maintained ignorance to the upgrade.

    I left and was called back a few hours later to be told they were updating the system to fix the issues and as a result will have the reverse grid lines!!

    When i picked the car up they said the issue was mainly with iphones (i have samsung s5) so they wouldnt normally do it. My issues were not generally phone related so go figure... They also said the head service dealer rep (?) just happened to be onsite and had the upgrade hence why they could do it....

    In any case its done.

    The cd player didnt work straight after!! Kept spitting the cd out. After 3 drives the cd worked!!!

    I had the software update done today. I use an android with no troubles, but one of my sons uses an iPhone.

    I now have the reversing guidelines as well in my June 2013 build SV6.

    BTW I have the upgrade.... as in literally!!

    They left the USB stick in the car. Just saw it this morning!!!!!

    @SRS13 - thats fair enough mate, but any chance you could a) confirm your version # \ radio part # b) screenshot the USB contents? (so we can compare to the other one already posted earlier to drop box and screenshot)
    P.S. Just curious as to what your risking around posting the USB content to dropbox etc? Concerned its matched to your VIN? traced back to you somehow ? etc etc?

    so i got mine 'updated' today, nothing new, dont have the guide lines that i was hoping to get. dont even know if they updated it. dont know how to check, i have a 2013 built sv6. my date and time were changed to 2013 sometime. is my car just not compatible with the new update?
