Reverse drops in hard

    when the car has been driven for a little while if i drop it into reverse it drops in hard with a clunk, does anyone know what the problem could be?

    Yes. It sounds like the uni-joints in your tailshaft.

    ECU or chip problem try reseting your computer by taking out the engine fuse located in the engine bay for 30 secs then replace and try it, may help!

    i have the same thing, every time i put it in reverse, the revs drop then a small 'clunk' is heard- and yes my uni joint needs work too, so that could be ur problem :D

    yeah mines the same but i've really only noticed it after i replaced my diff so i was guessing it had something to do with that, but i honestly wouldnt know :bang::cry:

    not really.

    uni-joints are about $30 from an auto shop and easy as to remove/install.

    search the "how to" section and there should be a writeup on how to replace a uni-joint
