When i either unlock or lock my 2007 Omega in the dark, the reverse lights come on. I heard this is a common fault with the omegas. Is there a way to fix this? and is it going to be expensive?

not a fault at all it is a setting in the computer that allows this to happen, i have mine set to it as my driveway is dark and light up the surounding pathways, to change it if i remember correctly is press the trip button to you get to customise settings & lighting

That is where it is. It is a "security" feature built in to all VE's to light up the surrounding area, in the same fashion as the headlights!
