Why you need a dyno tune after fitting a OTR intake on the direct injected Holden V6's

If you're thinking about getting a cold air intake for your Holden V6 commodore there are many to choose from! The Over the Radiator (OTR) Style is considered to be the best flowing on both the V6 and V8's. On some vehicles you can run these style of intake without a tune however on the VE and VF V6 fitted with the direct injected motors (LFX LFW LF1 LLT) the vehicle will need to be tuned to run safely and to make a power/torque gain.

This V6 had over 330,000kms but still managed 113 to 195rwkw at 7000RPM.
Without a built auto or engine rebuild we weren't comfortable pushing it any higher.
Next step would be bigger injectors, port matching, and engine/trans recon for more RPM.

What's included in REVHIGH's Genuine Holden V6 Alloytec Timing Chain kits?

The Alloytec motor found in the VZ, VE and VF V6's, Captiva's and Rodeo's have gone through many variations over the years. The dreaded timing chain rattle is the biggest issue on these otherwise reliable motors!

If you're in the trade or are interested in purchasing a kit for your own vehicle there are many kits to choose from, we have been building and working on these motors since 2012 and have a lot of experience with them as well as the numerous kits and revisions made over the years.
