hey just a quick question about a REVS certificate. im getting a VR wagon and got a REVS, now does this check if the car has been stolen? like its unregistered etc, i know it checks if money is owing but does it check if its been reported stolen? im pretty sure it does but yeh..also no i dont think its been stolen but you never know in this world
I use the online one, and the REVS just checks for monies oweing, they have other more expensive ones that check if its been stolen. https://www.autocheck.com.au/
dont qld transport have a register now that you can check your car against to see if it's been stolen, or in a crash? pretty sure i heard about it somewhere before. revs only does a finance check, money owing, thats it
well time will tell if im driving down the road and a cop pulls me up lol but i doubt its been stolen. i mean i have no feeling that it has juts wanted to know if it included it inm the revs (now i know it doesnt) anyway its a VR commodore station wagon...blue..has 165 000 on teh clock (not sure if odometer has stoped or not) runs good starts pretty quick has 7 seats (been compliance for it as well) has new tyres and mags all round, pretty good/expensive (id say) cd player. only thing thast is a let down is teh paint...i mean it will polish up good but teh roof will need a touch up. body is straight etc, Cost $900, the dude paied near 4000 (including new tyres/mags) about 6 moths ago and been sitting there since as it was for there son but he has since decided to get a smaller car, and now the dude has been transfered to another town for work and needed the car gone buy today....so yeh i got it pretty cheap ....im keeping me VS lol not getting rid of that haha but i oing to fix it up (doesnt need much) and either sell it or sell/give to me dad for a run around) or maybe even keep it as a runaround for meself and try and keep the VS in better condition for longer haha
REVS check is a must anything can happen man, a couple years back i won a bid on a 93 vr commodore on ebay for my dad. it was a heap of **** cost like a grand but a registered runner at least, i didnt think anyone would owe money on something like that but i did a revs check on it for peace of mind. turns out it was encumbered i confronted the guy about it and he crapped himself apologised lots and bailed on the sale told me there was more money owing on it than the sale price.
yeh that annoys me, when they know theres money owing but say theres not also i did get a revs check and it came back all clean, nothing owing YAY
