So just washed my car and now it's reving hight and changing gears crappy. I didn't touch the engine at all either. What should I check?
Don't know why it would play up after a wash.

Odds on you've got water into the electrics somewhere - leave the bonnet up and let it dry and also disconnect the battery for a few minutes so the ECU can reset itself. Maybe do a fault code check before you do the reset and see what it comes up with.

Seems to be working ok on petrol now. Gas isn't to good so I'll get new plug, leads and a tune this weekend.

A mate of mine had a vs duel fuel and his did the same thing it turned out there was a perished o ring rubber in the gas set up causing air to get in, switch it over to petrol and had no problems could be something like that going on.

My gas set up is all new. It was doing it on petrol too.
Fixed itself so some wiring must have been wet. Not sure how water is getting under the bonnet when I was it tho.

Could have been down the front of the window, sometimes the rubber at the bottom of the windscreen just deteriorates and water can go down to the fire wall.

A possibility, I've noticed a few of the 2nd gen commodores have some pf the windscreen seal broken
