but bigger rims means you need lower profile tyres, and that does affect the way the car performs. lowered suspension alters the way it handles. so there can be good reasons for lowering and big wheels.

I think when it all comes down to it, a stereotyped ricer is a Japanese car.

Yeah its possible for Commies and Falcons to be ricers, but they arent common stereotyped ricers are they?

OK how about commodores that get their look from japanese cars? Some don't follow the sort of approach holden was intending by adding ridiculous wings, huge exhausts that result in REDUCED performance, etc etc.

I'd call that a whole new low lol

I've got no problem with visual improvements that don't try to make it into a different car, but co-exist in harmony with the styling it was built with.

i completely agree with this guy. Nobody wants to look like they have a stock commodore. i would personally prefer to stand out and make my commodore noticable. And yeh, i have altezzas, but they are what defines my car from everyone elses and it's always the first thing people notice on my car. and not in a bad way. I personally think the stock tail lights looked crap on mine so i got altezzas. there are also them new black tail lights u can get. Nobodies saying you have to have altezzas, but dont mock people who try to be different

lol, every dog and his cat has altezza's now, how are you trying to be noticed?

Sorry, but i prefer a car to look like all the other's so that when you do come up against a rice boy(like yourself and VE) my performance mod's beat your 900 riceowatts at the flywheels.

yes, the monaros do have clear tail lights, if you wanna call em rice go ahead.

some HSV do have large wings but they arnt Towl Racks, u wanna call them rice go ahead.

repco, yes they are dodgy, i only work there to get a discount on products.

you wanna be unique? buy yourself an old chev, your car will never be unique unless u got money to back it.

and dude i drive a V6 statesman because its a simple everyday cruiser thats is in mint condition and yes i would get my ass handed to me in a race but im sure chicks would rather ride in class and i dont remember me saying my car is gunna beat a skyline or a lancer for that matter so whered did that come from?.

and i tottaly agree with you on that quote "all show no go" if you wanna call my car rice, go ahead. and i say to most people put a set of rims, and put it on the ground. they spend money on heads, rollers, t/b, cam etc and what 150-200 rwk? spend 5 grand on an old school engine (buy second handies) and you can get your car into 10's

if i wanted a "unique fast car" i would go oldskool and blow them shitty tail lights off your car, as for the lancer...id think he'd hang a few car lengths back with you. when you see for example a ferrari or an impala on bags you remember it coz its something you dont see everyday...UNIQUE. these clear tail lights are everywhere. so your tryin to be unique yet there are so many cars with them.

and stop with the "dumbass, idiot" etc etc remarks, remind me off a lil kid trying back him self in a fight.

Hehe what a waste of money just bolting it on for looks that would be rice for sure.
No i have a 9PSI powerflow supercharger (upgraded from 7PSI) but with the plumbing and intercooler it will drop back to around 7-8PSI. But i do have Rice lights of which came with the car and for the life of me nobody will trade for them. I also have a BOV but not some massive trumpet one just a little one that i can hear and no it does not have any performance value but it looks DAMN shiny. P.s It also came with the car

wrong.. when for example you see a ferrari or an impala.. just stock standard.. you remember it coz u have to be rich as a mofo to afford one and you see one in a blue moon.. doesnt have to be on bags at all.. if i bought a ferrari id do 0 mods.. what do you need to do to a ferrari to make it better? nothing.. a stock ferrari would pic up more chicks than a HSV GTO worked off its tits with all interior n soundsystem and "bags" and "big rims"

and just an FYI.. the tail lights I had.. when I had got them there was only one other person in SA that had the same tail lights.. now u see them everywhere.. So it was unique.. now the tail lights are goin to be customised so I will be now and forever the only one with them..

take my bumper for instance.. everyone puts clubby kits on their cars.. so what did i do.. i went the next extreme and got one customised with ricer vents.. looked really good but i need to finish the kit for the car to look decent.. look at my dp.. looks aight there like a lil ricer.. but without the blak bonnet n stuff it looks like a half done car. so ill get the bumper fixed and finish off the ricer kit with bonnet, huge supra wing, vents etc then itll be tops :D

lol. A powerfull motor doesn't always mean good perfromance.

Suspension WILL improve perfromance. You think race cars have stock suspension liek the road cars.....lol didn't think so!

To be fair though, most peope don't lower their cars to improve performance. Most to it because it looks cool..

To be honest i have not had to much driving with it but from what i did do it was great the original 7PSI was a STA who then sold off to powerflow. Powerflow do not make or sell anymore superchargers, the STA was great except for the belt slip so this one has TEETH which was part of the reason i upgraded.
Still fine tuning the intercooler piping and contemplating a ECU and trying to find a swap for my ricer lights.

true if you own a ferrari you would do 0 mods to keeps its orginality, and yes theres not to much you can do to a ferrari coz everything looks good from show room, but with the impala id sit it on bags. but thats me id rather see a old skool car with crazy colours and some really out there mods like hydros. When you see a Ferrari drive past you say look a Ferrari, but when u see a bone stock impala your old man might say that’s a nice car. But if you see an impala with this eye sore colour and one end of the car in the air and the other end scraping the ground you say look at that car. Drawing the same amount of attention as a Ferrari and spending less money.

if you customise your tail lights sure youll be different but when some one drives past you they arnt gunna know the difference (some might some wont). i didnt even know there was more than two designs of the altezzas until I saw 94vrexec.

dude i like how your putting new bumpers on and doing custom things to your car, it is different. but me, i woulda rather put that money into the engine or an old skool car. but i think this is a dream for you so i aint gunna tell you anything different.

    If I had a Ferrari, I would'nt touch it at all.:D

Why, when a stock one looks and performs better then almost every modded car on our roads?

If I had that sort of money I would buy a ENZO and for a project, I would get a new HSV Grange, slap some 20s on it and air bag it.:D

Oh and cant forget the Twin Turbos.:D
