Just wondering did anyone get caught up in the mess on the Ring Rd (just past the Fitzgerald Rd off ramp)tonight (21st March)at around 17.00hrs? In Melbourne... If so, did you happen to notice the stupid woman in a red Berlina with her hazard flashers on driving like a maniac in the emergency lane?
Why I love working 3.30 till 12, bugger all traffic on there. Although the friggin road works coming home are a pain the ass!! :bang:
I agree except i almost flattened a 15" tire southbound on the mitchell freeway today, wondered why someone jumped into the emergency lane and back in, thought he was pulling an illegal overtake but then as the car in front of me did the same thing i saw why, dang tire on the road.. scary stuff sometimes.
Yeah, I also have the late shift this week. However, I don't start till 17.30hrs...and coming home! last night I almost collected one of the plastic staunchions. I didn't realise until the last moment that I was supposed to use the emergency lane.....bloody tired.
MAYBE, just maybe she had a genuine emergency to attend????? REM, police will get these folk on camera or on scene in VIC. REM 2 that the hazards could signal her maniacal driving)))) BTW - Sydney starting after the election this Saturday will have its effective ring-road system complete. I expect it to be a mess, it is badly designed in part, no shoulders, narrow, slow limited etc, but a ring road nonetheless. A good reminder to keep distance from the car in front, and to scan the road well ahead as you can see. Defensive driving.
Yes, defensive driving. Don't get me started on that one. You attempt to leave enough room in front, but you forever have to put up with dips... jumping in front or riding your rear bumper.
