So here's the scenario. You pull up at an accident scene. there's people dying, lotsa commotion as the general public try to help and rescue the injured. You see the injured and dying, with their jewelry on their bodies. Would you rob them? There is very little chance you will get caught except for someone who have filmed your actions on their cell phone. would you still do it? I'm asking this question to the folks at justcommodores, because this is right now a very hot topic in Brunei. The background to this scenario was that a local family was robbed as a lady allegedly robs them while they were dying. the video clip was removed from youtube as it was a very disturbing video to see.
Having to live with the image of a dying person spending their last minute looking at me while I steal their crap, for a bit of bling? ... no thanks.
Bloody oath, if their shirt isnt to messed up ill take rip that off. Actually id probly hook up a tow rope the car and take that aswell. IM NOT BEING SERIOUS... Thats pretty disturbing that people could do that, some people have no ****ing morals or respect. Sadly it doesnt suprise me with what some people will do for a quick buck.
What use are they going to have for anything after theyre dead? Seriously... I couldnt care less about ANYTHING or ANYONE after I'm dead.
OMG!, The thought of anyone looking past the people on the ground would make me sick, And any thought of robbing them in such a venerable state would make me sick. And if i seen anyone do it, As I'm sure many if not all here would chase them down and slam them. Is there really anything worse?.
I wouldn't do it, I am sure there are alot of people who would though. If people stole my stuff while I was dying, I am sure Karma would come back to them.
yeah no thats low its amazing how much further the decency bar plumets . and yeah hopefully karma will get them back
You would have to be one sad/sick puppy to be taxing peoples stuff while there layin there dieing!! Cannot believe there is some people out there that low...Then again you only have to take a look @ the way the world is going today and sadly it is not for the betterAdd to the fact that some people out there just dont give a rats arse about anyone but themselves, have to agree with minux..They will reap what they sow
That's pretty low, goes right against all my morals. If I was the first person on the scene I would be calling emergency services, and attempting CPR if needed. I think this is Unaustralian and if this did happen here, I'd imagine the robber would be sent to jail.
That would be after getting his head stomped on the gutter like the bloke on american historyX I mean after all isnt that what your supposed to do with ****roaches??
If I saw someone stealing from the dead or injured, I'd persuade them not too. I usually wear steel capped boots:thumbsup:
lol, that scene always makes my teeth hurt. It would have to be the worst way to kill someone, but **** did he probly deserve it..... Love that movie watched it again last night actually.
Its just that this incident has been in the local papers in Brunei for the past few days. 5 people lost their lives, 3 locals and a singaporean couple. the singaporean couple died on impact. Cant make out the car whether it was an BMW X5 or a Merc ML. If the impact can rip off one of those wheels... There was no record of the singaporean couple getting robbed but can you imagine if that was your own family, friends or relatives and they appear to not have benn given any assistance because they look 'dead'? As for the 3 local Bruneians, it was heart wrenching because the woman was crying out (it hurts..it hurts...) and the man in the video was seen kissing his wife. The 3 Bruneians died on the way to the hospital. What grinds my gears is that the 'opportunist' thief was seen taking things taking off the wrists and neck of the two ladies and then stuffing them into her pockets. Noone seem to have stopped the lady's actions. The lady in question is now being sought, the case is still under investigation. Being a medic, the method of dragging out the two women from an upturned 4WD sent shivers down my spine. The would be rescuers could have done more damage to the victims. No first aid, no CPR, just leaving them on the side of the road with their injuries. It took the paramedics two whole hours to get to the accident scene. While I can help but send my condolences to the affected family, this accident does make one think about moral values. While no one wants to see how their loved ones are spending the last few moments of their lives in pain and suffering from injuries, I think there is something we all can learn here.
