Hey guys im currently running a stage 3 crow cam in my vs. its also had the heads port and polished and ive upgraded the springs and retainers. Now on the crow site it says the valve lift would currently be at .472 and i asked a a bloke from mace about the rockers. he said he could give me a set to bring the lift up too .531 but said id need to upgrade valve steam seals and reatiners and this cost another $110. Just wondering if i went this route would it be worth it?? would the gains be very good? cos i dont really want to change my cam again. cheers guys
i would say that the gains would be outweighed by the cost in this situation mate. i doubt there would be much more than a couple of hp to pick up by the change in lift, but if you want to do it then do it, i just wouldnt expect too much.
ah ok fair enuf. so probably better of going with a bigger duration cam?? would there be much gain in going a bigger cam?
A custom ground cam would have been the best choice, but you already bought a cam so I don't really think purchasing a second cam + labour would be very cost effective for the gains.
