If anyone can help me out or offer any advice that would be awsome. I have a stock VS commodore and just recently completed a minor service on it before going away for 2 weeks. Now that im home and have driven it a couple of times, ive found that after going down a parking ramp in a shopping center, the entire car started to shake side to side and felt like it was starving for fuel or spark. After driving very slowly home i also noticed a burning smell comming from the back end. I changed the fuel filter during the service and am 100% certain i have fitted it correctly. any advice would be greatful....

The shaking from the rear end could be the panhard rod adrift and allowing the back axle to move side to side plus rub against the body and give a burning rubber small - you should be able to check this by trying to move the back of the car side to side. It shouldn't be the fuel filter otherwise it would be on fire!

going down the ramp if your fuel is low could cause it to starve from fuel, as the fuel is not getting to the pick up

cant explain the burning smell unless you got oil or grease from your hands on the exhaust when servicing it
