im gettin roller rockers for my ute..just wondering if any1 has the 1.98:1 roller rockers from mace? they sound likethebest bet 2 me ... any info welcome :w00t:
The 1.98 from Mace are the same as the FIT rockers. They are re-welded stockers with the new ratio only have a roller fulcrum. Supposedly they don't need stronger springs but I would do them as a safety measure. compare the price against a set of YT rockers which are a full roller rocker with both a roller fulcrum (larger than the stock bearing) and a roller tip which slides better across the valve tip. Although a bit dearer the YT kit comes with reusable bolts (Mace/FIT use stock one use bolts) and new stronger pushrods as part of the kit. The down side for YT is that the largest ratio is 1.95 so I you really need/want 1.98 then Mace/FIT are your only choice. Putting aside all the arguments both do work so the choice is yours.
