The noise you mentioned, is it like a rhythmic hum when in higher gears/lower rpm? Not related to speed? Reason i ask is my 2010 v6 does this and ive not been able to narrow it down. I know its not wheel bearings as it isnt dependant on the speed im doing. Thought it might be exhaust touching due to collapsed mounts but they look fine. Would be curious to see the outcome of your parts replacement.

Now that I have the throttle controller in place, it doesn't do it on demand due to it revving out better and dropping down rather than just holding gear. But when it happens its like a harsh vibration/grinding sound, it's hard to explain, but does not feel nice at all. It would happen to me at 70+KMH between 1100-1500RPM in 4th, once it drops to 3rd its fine. Been to a couple of trans places and they have all said the same thing, Torque converter. Tried some of that instant shudder fix, worked for a couple of days then came back. I will let you know how it goes when I replace those bearings and couplings. Here's hoping that's all it is, don't really want to fork out 3+G for a box rebuild.

A lot of them make that vibration around 80kmh up hill at very light throttle. It gets worse if the ignition system is not 100% or transmission fluid is old or O2 sensors need changing. Just tattoo the throttle it usually goes away

I need to get some 02 sensors, it can happen between 70-110 for me, so makes long trips pretty annoying. I noticed it the week after i bought the car, got the transmission flushed, wynnsed and filled and new filter. Ran a lot better but problems still occurred the same. still a few things I am going to replace to see if it helps

When I'm overtaking say at 140-160kmh my car starts to shake/vibrate a bit, making me think it may be the bearings rather than the box.

If the 85k on the Odo is accurate I would be surprised if any bearings were worn out. Unless they did skids for half of that.

It's kind of an odd one. There was no service book when I purchased the car, my theory is, it was in an accident, the previous owners just let it sit in the yard for some years before fixing it and trading it in. There is a few new steering components in place that i seen when cleaning up behind the bumper and wheel arches. Also think it was used as a tow vehicle too.

Yes,mine does and a couple of the ones i test drove also had that vibration.Dealer who was with me on one test drive said its a common VE thing and is Torque Converter related,"they all do it and nothing to worry about",famous last words and i took his comments with a bag of salt.
Anyway didn't notice it on mine until i got it home,a few months later going up a slight hill it came in as i accelerated from 80 to 100kph.
Anyway posters on here will know more about it than myself.

That's exactly how i happens, except I can get mine to do it on flat, aslong as the revs have dropped (not bragging) haha But I have never seen or heard of it being a common problem. But in saying that, I have only been doing the research on VE's since i bought it 3 months ago

And as for the removal, I was gonna get a proper mechanic to take it out and swap the lines and provide a cert. Biggest thing is just the lack of room as i said with the system installed.
Not having use of the full boot space is really the only downside with my system in the SSV. I’ll happily take that inconvenience though as I’m saving about $1800 a year in running costs with the current petrol/LPG price differential (I’m doing about 15,000kms per year).

And pricing only going up hey, just called up an LPG specialist, gonna run my car over to him at lunch so he can shed some light on what system I’m running. If it’s the newer one as you stated, then I guess I’ll experience my first ever gas up haha
One thing I have read tho, is it better to start it on petrol then switch to gas once started?
