Roof mount dvd player

Hi,
need help with a roof mount dvd player, i can not work out which wire from the old centre lights goes where on the dvd player.

It was a few years ago when I put mine in, but I know I had to run most of my own wires for it. I have a feeling there was a problem with using the lights wiring.
What model is the unit? Or, do you know what the wires are you are looking for?

Dvd player has yellow wire with fuse, red wire, black wire and blue wire which is suppose to be connected to interior lights.
Interior lights on car has a orange/black wire and a white/green wire.

the interior light has constant power and switches the earths, depending on how much room you have to mount the dvd player (ive never done one before) you might be able to get a small enough relay and use the original interior light wiring for pins 85 & 86 on the relay, have the constant power wire linked to pin 30 and have pin 87 go to the blue wire on your dvd player

there's no reason why you couldn't as long as there is no memory setting as the 12+ gets switched off
and use the body for an earth

it's the orange/black thats 12 volts switched off when you lock the car or after 1 hour when nothing is sensed

are you sure its interior lights not interior illumination?
