Hopefully if the weather stays off I plan on changing the rotors on the front of the VN. Does anyone what torque settings are for the rotor, im meaning the bolt that holds the rotor and wheels bearings on, sorry I dont know what its called. Cheers Tom
It's not a torque setting on the wheel bearings. it's do them up firm then back them off a little so they spin. To dark to read the manual atm. make sure you use new bearing with the new rotors and that you fully pack them with grease.
Thanks.... Thats how I normally do them, but since this isnt my car I thought id see if theres a torque setting so i can do it all by the book. Off to go replace rotors and brakes in the rain.... the joy
thats what i do, do em up until there is no side play in the rotor and it still spins the nback the nut off one castelation. for really big rims with wide tyres it pays to go just a little tighter
Thanks Immorality. This was all completed on Saturday without to many dramas. Noticed the Right caliper is looking abit sorry for it self and took a bit of effort to get the piston in. Damn people who dont give a **** about there cars, just costs them more in the long run. Fixing the brakes is still my mission.
