Rough estimate on costs?

No dents, Well there is a couple but there under the scoop so they won't need to be fixed, Fairly confident that i can do the prep to a high standard before taking it to a shop have a little bit of experience in painting, decorating but don't have a booth to spray 2k Scoop is not sealed. Just wanting a rough quote on this and is there anyone on this thread that can recommend a painter within 100-150kms of bendigo region

Call some places, there's too much variability between regions and it also depends on how dedicated the painter is to give you something accurate.

Don't be surprised if they need to paint the entire front half of the car to get the colour to blend properly to the rest of the body though.

Don't do any prep yourself until you confirm your painter is happy to blow over your handy work. Many and likely most will want to do the entire job. If its a full car respray you won't have any change from $10k. If its a half car job, you will be looking at $500 - $600 each door and panel plus dent work.
If the bumper cover also needs a paint you will be looking at $900-$1000.

Budget $1000-1200 for a single panel these days, cost of materials have skyrocketed like everything else atm. For example just for me to get 1L of base coat mixed at trade price at the moment is around $100-150 depending on colour/metallic/pearl etc then you've got to add on reducers, hardeners, clear coat, labour etc theres not a lot of meat left on the bone for the shop.

While when your getting a whole car resprayed it probs comes down to around $5-700 per panel you'll pay more to get one panel done due to them having to cover the costs of pulling someone off another bigger project to do the work on a single panel and mixing up base and getting that all matched just to shoot one panel theres a lot of behind the scenes work just to prep a single panel for paint.

Also do the prep work yourself as it's gonna be a bit of labour to sand all that buggered clear off and will waste the panel shops time so that will factor into the cost. When the clear starts to blister it all has to come right off down to the base coat where as normally you'd just scuff the existing clear and paint over that. That being said best to ask the painter as Losh said, some won't want to touch something that someone else has had a go at before.

As losh1971 said the painter will want to prep the job him self, an if the paint is blistering, that’s the pigment in the paint breaking down, so the Color has to sanded back to the primer underneath
