Hi guys,

What are your rough guesses on getting a a hole cut out in a boonet, have a reverse cowl fitted and molded then bonnet painted? Local guy said $1600 but my old man rung a place in sydney that said it would be less than $1000.

Sounds about right.
On higher side

But a spray and what ya after sounds right and they also have to blend the front quarters also

Cut the hole yourself and save yourself a few notes. Easy enough to do if you can get a jigsaw and a large roll of masking tape to mark it out.

I was quoted $400 - $500 to strip and repaint a bonnet in metallic green.

Find out exactly how they intend to mount the scoop/cowl. Depends on the car and bonnet type, but to fit a scoop properly you’re looking at quite a lot of labour.

I cut a hole in the bonnet I brought the local guy and he said it was too large, cut it to the size of the cowl.

Local guy said rivet, fiberglass then bog.
