Will there be a grace period?

    Yes and no.

fabz, it's clear that you have read the rules so no, there will not be a grace period. We might be a little forgiving to start with on some people but when it's obvious that people have read the rules and then broken them...then no grace period. Does that make sense?

Basically it will be the moderators discretion.

Thats true, the rules in reality are no different to what they were. But now, without the "grey" areas that were left in the old rules.

Essentially what the issue was that the previous rules of engagement worked great when the forum held just a few thousand members. Now we have a bigger population then many towns across the world and we need to clarify things a little bit.

Now, I'm not going to say these rules are perfect and will most likely be modified from time to time. You will be notified when they are updated again.

Basically this is put into place to see where we need to change things again.

From now on. When posts are deleted or threads removed there is 99% chance that you won't be notified. It will just be gone. The Admin and moderators here are not paid like many other forums and do this out of the kindness of their hearts. INCLUDING ME (just need to clarify that little bit LOL)

Us moderators wish to enjoy the forum also. But many of us don't have time to moderate the forum and enjoy. So, with things a little more clarified hopefully we can do this. I know that I personally I spend maybe 30 minutes day on the forum. Thats all I have. Many other moderators have even less.

    thats great to hear!

Also what will be added once we decide on whats what, is a complete rundown on how many infractions will be worth what.

i know wat ur prolly gonna say here but do these rules count just as much 4 a mod/s aswell? i have found lately this is where a big fall down has been so im hoping this would sort that situation out aswell? i understand u guys do this outer ur free will and i appriciate it alot as it provides alot of things i need now and in the future but somtimes we dont get treated fairly, eg. we might say or do somthing will get some sorta punsihment 2wards us but wen a mods involved nothings seems 2 happen? i know we will never find out if nething does happen there but just want some reassurance we will all get treated equal? im sure theres a few ppl that will agree with that

I'm sure there are PLENTY of people that will agree with that. I can tell you that for the most part mods DO get reprimanded for their actions just ass much as the general community does. Infact I recall banning several moderators before LOL.

The average person has NO clue about what goes on behind the scenes. You get an infraction and you feel an injustice has been done. Well, don't worry, on a regular day about 10-15 other people feel the same way.

What I'm trying to say is don't worry mods will be treated the same. If you get an infraction, don't worry your not the only one. (I think I have one or two that haven't expried) just change your habits and we can all get along happily.

don't confuse Infractions with the Reputation system.

Infractions can only be dispensed by Moderators and Admin and earning to many infractions will result in a temp ban or permanent banning.

Reputation points are given out by all members to display your "status" on the board. They can be Positive or Negative. Earning WAY too many negative rep points can result in a banning. At least I think that system is in place still.

Edit: Folks, please don't turn this into a mod flaming thread. This is simply for updating you folks on the forums new rules and regulations.

No, if I had've directly posted the link. Then yes.

Greengopher, serisouly, if you have some issues with this, then go. All you want to do is cause trouble when something on the forum changes. You really are like a petty 12 yo.
