Just wondering if anyone knows where theres a rubber grommet
on the rear of the cab that i can run some wires through
im running a reverse camera cable from the rear of the ute
into the cab , also running a gps antenna cable

ive taken the small panels inside the ute back on the drivers side
ive run the cable up through behind the tail light
and then forward to near the side inspection panel
where the fuel filler goes, following the tail light loom forward
but i ran out of light and lost where the wires run from there

thanks

Hi Deano, this is a job I've done many times and to be quite honest, I've never actually found it. Usually due to time constraints I've had to give up on the search. What I do is drill a hole on the inside of the cabin about a foot below the rear quarter glass (you will need to check yourself to line up level with tray.) I then feed the cable from the cab down to the back using a "pull through" usually a length of yellow tongue. If you've already started from the tray end then I would feed the yellow tongue tongue and tape the wire to it before pulling it back into the cabin.

VEs are far easier....

Thanks Tasmaniak
The only other place i can think of and will check it out on saturday when i have time to install stuff
is to take of the fuel tank cover in the rear tube and see if anything runs through ,
i like your idea though and never thought of using the yellow tongue flooring stuff,
i have some of that here, and will check out where you say you normally drill through,
thank you again for your info , much appreciated

no dramas mate. If you do happen to find it, let us know. I do a LOT of reverse cameras and would like to know where a body grommet is as I really don't like drilling holes but I'm not afraid too. Like I said, I'm always on a time constraint so don't have time to rip the car apart on a whim.

I found a few ways in, but they are a little time consuming and probably wouldnt suit you if your time short
if you take the trim off below the rear window, there are 3 rubber grommets, but to access these in the tub
you need to take off the side tub panel closest to the front of the tub which has a sealant or mastick around it ,
you can see in my pics where the green flooring strip is pushed through the cab and where it comes out in the tub
