S1 3.8 to s2 3.8 loom

Hey all,

I race streetstocks, have a s2 3.8 buick running auto on a standalone loom, motor has given up and I have a s1 3.8 out of a vn with a manuel box, will my standalone s2 engine loom and ecu run it

Does your motor have the cam sensor fitted? The VNs1 does not have this.

Otherwise they should basically be the same except the engine coolant temp sensor wiring will be in the wrong place.

The VN motor also has different cam specs and the ideal tune is a bit different.

The VNs1 manual motor has a different crank flange (6 bolt) and won't take a auto flex plate
