[SA] new P plater laws coming in about driving a V8??

has anyone heard anything? i hope they dont, im really having my heart set on getting a V8 vs/vr stato

They have been saying that for years, and they were talking about making it so you needed a permit to drive a high powered car such as a v8

If it does come in, like all the other states, it will only apply to NEW licence holders. If your already on your P's, you'll go by the conditions that were set when you got your license.

I am not convinced that a V8 is necessarily more powerful than say a V6 in an R32 or (previous model) M3 or the straight 4s in the Evo X and WRX STI. Each is a dangerous weapon in the hands of an inexperienced driver.

yeh, the old holden 6's, done up right they go better then V8's

hahaha yea they are straight 6 lol, I agree Stephen but if they bring in the law there is a power to weight ratio limit. So if you have a 195kw high output v6 ve then it may still be illegal as well.

No officer my 427 v8 is legal on my P's, when im wearing my sumo suit :)
