Usually against permanent punishment but in his case i think perhaps it'll be some closure to many people. Maybe he should be put through some of the things he ordered done to others....

If you go by what the media tells us, then Sadam hussein together with his family and followers should all be hung because they are a mob of power hungry sicko's. I do wonder at times though, are George Bush and all his followers much better than Sadam's mob. After all hasn't George Bush organised the military to go over to Iraq and kill heaps of people, many of them could have been anti Sadam followers that were killed. So isnt Bush just as bad.:shooting: :bop:

bush is better than saddam because he doesn't mean to hurt people, he thinks he's helping.

kind of like how you get angrier at someone who punches you in the face, than if they accidentally catch you with an elbow.

now when the US encouraged saddam to invade iran in 1980, that was evil.

This could go either way. His supporters could make a martyer of him and become even more violent or the people he allegedly oppressed will no longer fear him and come out and stand up to what is left of his regime.

I'm hoping the latter will occur but think it will be a combination of the two.

Who knows. None of us can really say unless we knew the whole story. The REAL story. That meaning we were there and saw EVERYTHING with our OWN two eyes and not have SOMEONE ELSES views shoved into our heads repeatedly. (Who can't tell that I hate mass media by now? :D)

One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter......

So in answer to the polls question. 'I wouldn't have a clue.'

personally i can not say if he deserved it or not but what ive herd from he did and the suposed ways he kill all the people should of deserved a more harsher penalty,
i belevie rocked to death would have been more fair but at the same time its not humain and no one should ever go thought that death.

i agree with mike, we are never going to know the true story because the media f*cks around with it, just like we will never know what george bush's army is doing over in iraq..... we will never know or a long time until we do.. typical media..... so yeah i dont know either :D:D:D

I was watching CNN before and it was obviously bullshit enhanced :) so I'll have to watch the BBC (what seems to be the only trustable news) later to see what most people really think

    Bad guy, but?

I consider that Saddam was a bad guy of the worst kind, but I am not comfortable with capital punishment.

I wish the Iraqi people success in their quest for freedom.

They should of made him suffer, the way he made other people suffer.

Hanging him is just a quick way out.

I agree that its a good thing, hopefully he cant influence anyone else now.

As for the punishment itself, i think it is a joke that one man is put to death for what he did when the US, UK and even Australia have and are doing the exact same thing, the only difference is we call it fighting for freedom.

I do not disagree with the war in Iraq, not by a longshot, what i do disagree with is hypocrisy.

These countries have never wanted democracy, in fact they have survived for thousands of years by keeping things easy, he who has power wins and decides.

Although it sounds like a conspiracy Theory, i agree. Look at how Bin Laden was treated at a US hospital in Pakistan border area. These people need to be around to justify military spending to large countries.
