I need a set of 3.9 or 4.11 diff gears to suit a 10 bolt salisbury, I've spoke to a couple of diff specialists in Perth where I'm from and they said they're hard to come by now. Is there anywhere in Australia that still sell them?

have you considered going to a Borgwarner diff? Cost wise of finding, buying and fitting a set of gears to a 10-bolt might see you with a BorgWarner 28 spline for the same money with a stronger diff.

Else try ebay, gumtree & swap meets or got he old school way of hitting the yellow pages

I know where to get brand new 3.36 and 3.55 gears but not 3.9 or 4.11
as vk said, probably cheaper just to buy a 4 pinion VL diff. Then you have a huge range of gears readily available

Don't think u can get 3.9 or 4:11.1 ratio for 10 bolt Salisbury unless specially made. Early holden 1 tonne utes use Salisbury diffs with 4:44.1 gears as standard. Easier to find them.

3.9s and 4.11s hard to come by?... yep coz they were never made
10 bolts get 3.08, 3.36, 3.55 and 4.44s as the ratios GMH made
with some oddball 2.78s and 2.60s

either go a 9incher or BW diff for ratios like those you want

Probably about 100rpm less, so no, not a huge difference at all.

A little off topic, but thought I would save making a whole new thread.

Do all stock Holden/HSV 3.27 diff gears come with LSD as standard? Saw a second hand set for my calais that I'm interested in, so just wanted to clarify if they're LSD diffs.
