Has anyone had an issue with their Samsung Galaxy churning through battery since the last update? It seems that Samsung, in their wisdom, have preempted the virtual reality third party app installation by including their own in the lastest update called Gear VR. This is using battery like no tomorrow, can force stop it, but disable is greyed out. Does anyone know how to get rid of it without rooting the phone?

Dunno, but that is weird because my battery two days ago went flat overnight and I'm sure I had 40% or more in it. Never done it before.

Well, it seems that Samsung have listened to the multitudes and turned off whatever was draining the battery in the Gear VR app, battery life is back to normal.
