Still not heaps happening, still gets used as a ute, helped a mate move as per the photo. Bought a genuine black hardlid for $150, owes me $325 since getting new struts and mounts for it so still not too bad. Will get it painted eventually, but have a few other projects and stuff that is more important than it currently haha. Also hit a big pot hole on the way to a mates the other week which has caused a big knock in the front left somewhere, so replaced the sway bar link as nothing else looked flogged but the problem still persists, so will pull the strut out next day off I get.

So really not much happening here other than breaking broken ****. Hit a massive pothole at about 60 a month or so a little while back, after doing the sway bar links assumed it was just a dead ball joint. Finally got round to pulling the strut out and found it was far worse. Bottom end of the strut insert had completely blown out and was going to cost as much to rebuild as replace. So managed to get one from queensland in couple of days and put it in and all is good now. This impact also stuffed the radiator too so had to source a new one of those too, so its been an expensive week. Also threw a new set of pads and rotors on whilst I was waiting for the shock to arrive too, just crappy bendix and Bosh rotors but its definetly better than what was on there..... And yes I will get my hardlid painted one day.

That plate is meant to be attached to the bottom of the strut insert.

Still don't have any good photos since the hardlid, so dirty car phone photos will do. Not much new on this, did new ball joints and tie rod ends in Jan and thats about it. Did a tip run this morning in case anyone is wondering if it gets used properly or not, was nearly tucking the 18"s..... Wish it could always be this low but the pipes were 60mm or so off the deck lol.
