I wanted to let in as much light as possible because there were no windows in this part of the building. However I needed to reduce the size of the opening for two reasons. Firstly as you can imagine, I needed a plumb straight edge to be able to fix my frame work to, and the best way was to build a brick column either side, as seen in the pic. This then worked well for the double opening doors with a short span of weather boards and then a window, which is actually just another door because it was just simpler rather than making or buying a custom made window.

Just a small deck out the front.
My missus is hard of hearing, and when I mentioned my small deck, she said "I know you have."

Around the back. So I'd reduced the original roof length, but there is another smaller room about half the size of the front part. I just put a timber frame in there with a yellow tongue floor.

There was a door opening, but I had to be creative once again with some brickwork to give me a plumb straight column to affix the door frame to.

I wanted to claim the front part of this building as my Man Cave, but I was too late as my missus quickly moved some of her art work inside and called it her gallery. However, I did manage to claim the smaller room at the back, and I call it my 'Bondage and Humiliation Chamber'

I don't think we really need to know what you do to yourself with your spare time....;)

New concrete floor in the front part which is about five metres square. I'd put the new zincalume roof on by this time. It was so time consuming and laborious getting it right, because as you would imagine the building was so out of square.
Now that would have taken a carton for pain and suffering, always got to get a box on pour day it's part of the trade
