I have a SC14 supercharger that I am planning to fit to my VT. The car is already fitted with a gas research LPG system so the fueling side of things should be fairly straight forward. I just have some questions regarding the sc14 unit. Firstly what is the max rpm you can spin a SC14? I have googled this and have come up with answers varying from 9000 to 14000 RPM. What RPM can you safely and reliably spin them to? Secondly how much boost can I run on LPG? It is higher octane than petrol so what would be a safe limit for LPG with the 9.4 compression ratio of the L36? How much boost would be safe intercooled and non intercooled? The supercharger has a 72mm pulley on it at the moment. I am thinking this is way too small? what kind of boost can I expect with this size pulley? Any help appreciated.

the sc14 isnt the best s/c, actually its probly the worst you could hook up but for the price they are alright, i have heard stories of people boosting them up to around 8psi and they thought it was safe. dont know about intercooling it, not many people intercool them because it costs more money that the whole kit.did you get it from castlemain or do you just have an sc14 laying around?

72 mm on vt is like way to small youll go to about 15-20 psi i know i did
youll need to really pump up ya gas and let it flow at high rpm
6 psi is safe without cooler some ppl run 8-9 i run 11 and runs fine but remapped

How much boost can I expect from an 110mm pulley? What size would I need for 8PSI unintercooled?

110mm would be 5 psi i reckon. a stock pulley makes 3 psi at 125mm

    pulley size - boost level
    125mm - 3psi
    90mm - 6-8 psi unintercooled
    85mm - 8-9 psi intercooled
    75mm - 10-12 psi intercooled
