    Hey peoples,

The other week my car made a screeching sound for like a second or two straight after i started it....

Then it did it again the next day, next day etc...

It only happens when the car is cold, doesn't do it after its been driven around abit..

Sounds like the belt is slipping on something.. i really don't know...

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

try tightening the belt and if it still does it try using belt grip... comes in a can and can get it from places like supercheap autopro etc... ur belt is like ur tyres.. once heated up they grip more... thats why it only does it when its cold... hey or better yet get a gilmer drive kit... sound awesome and no belt slippage

The tension of the belt is maintained by the tensioner assembly and isn't adjustable.

The belt should be renewed if it is damaged or worn.

If you belt is in good condition, some silicone spray or equivalent can be used.
