Some really good suggestions that don't cost a thing in here to try.

My add on to this is, just to try cleaning the blades with a damp rag. Pinch both sides of the blade and wipe down the whole length, repeat a couple times.

I had squeaking and jumping, a clean did the trick.

It'll definitely be the screen. Using that super fine (0000) steel wool with running water all over the screen and I think you'll have solved the issue.

Thanks for the advice I will try the steel wool trick. Is the 0000 steel wool something I need to get from Mitre 10 or Bunnings, or paint supplies?

Change the arms. Any movement in the pivots and the arm will ‘clunk’ when changing direction. I’ve fitted the curve blades to a few of my vehicles and have been very happy. Refills are cheap too and tend to last longer than conventional refills.

Part number should be TCB20H (both sides) for your vehicle from memory.

Sometimes you can find it at Safeway, just make sure it’s 0000 otherwise you’ll scratch the glass.
It’s available at Bunnings as well.

Which plastic bushes are talking about mate?
They are between the segments. They are a box shape encasing the end of each segment.

Also good screen additive makes a difference. VW sell a concentrate bottle that makes 25l of mixture for $2.50.
