Hey guys

recently in the last month my passenger seat belt alarm has come up on my dash and hasn’t gone away. I.E soon as I start my car it thinks someone is sitting in the seat and starts the chime. I have replaced the pre tensioner hoping it was that but no luck. The only way I can get rid of it is by buckling up the seat belt.

Any recommendations on what the cause could be and how to fix it?
Cheers

Try hitting the seat a few times the next time it happens.

Sometimes on my car it does the same so I think the sensor gets into this weird state and I find a few bangs on the seat fixes it .

I've got a 60th anniversary model with the leather seats and over time with the sun bearing down on it the leather has shrunk and gone hard and it sometimes goes off thinking someone's sitting in the seat I just buckle up the belt for now or swear at it if I can't be bothered.
