I have a broken seat belt in the back seat on th left hand side. It wont rewind up after you pull it down to put around you. It just stays there. Does anyone know how to replace the seat belt and where can you buy new ones from.

    Jack.

You can get new seat belts from Holden. My parents had one installed in their old VT for $40 labour, Dad cant remember what the belt cost though.

might just be the winder mech as this happened in my mates ss. i just pulled the seat out and it was a little stuck. i started to wind it back, got to a certain point and it spun back itself. He's had no more problems since.

Alright, i was just talking to the old man about it again and he remembered that all up it cost around $200 bucks to get a replacement seat belt and have it installed, which means that the belt itself cost around $150 bucks from Holden, this was over 4 years ago now. So before forking out the $150 - $200 it would be worth thoroughly cleaning the belt to ensure that it is not just dirt causing the belt to not retract properly. Oh and also after doing some research, as far as i could see there was no aftermarket seatbelts available for VR/VS commodores. I hope this helps.

I don't think dirt is the problem on mine. Its just the mechanism or the springs have gotten loose or weak to pull the belt all the way up.
