    hey all,
I've got VN Calais seats in my VR, the velour ones not the leather. Problem is that the front driver seat is ****ed out. it sits really low cause its worn out and then you get the lower back/ass support right in the middle of ya back, and i just cant get comfortable with it, always having a sore back while i drive and after i get out.

So i jumped into the vn that i swapped the seats with and **** it was comfortable compared to the rooted calais seat. The passenger one is a bit funny too, dunno if they all like this, maybe just worn out or a dud set :p

So what i'm gunna do it put the front VR exec seats back in my car, and hopefully get some good looking seat covers that are similar to the rear seats so it doesnt look too out of place, was thinking the autometer throw-over ones accept i dont really like the looseness of them..

Any ideas on how/what i can do to make the exec seats blend in nicely with the rear calais seats? Just wanting to do something plain and simple.

Show me pics of ur seat covers if they anygood.

    Cheers all!

um.. my seat covers are just the brocky ones from bigW, and i'm thinking about taking them off, as they're more annoying than they protect my seats.
as for what to do, maybe a simple re-trim? or source some similar fabric and make some throw overs?

i reckon shell out for custom fitted ones. as 'the forgotten' says cheapo ones give you the craps.

I actually don't mind black sheepskin in the front. I reckon it feels nice to sit on...

That support in the middle of your back wasnt just the lumber support needing adjustment? You know the lever up the side of the seat, pushes that middle back support in and out.

man mate it aint that adjustment. Where ya ass sits, that bottom part of the seat is worn our and sunken, so if i adjust the lumber thing you were talking about that pushes out into just below my shoulders... when it prob should be just above my arse.

Not really wanting to spend much on them. Might go swap the seats over now and see how **** it looks

You could always swap the actual velour covers to the old VR seats if the frames are the same. They are usually only held on with hog clips....or you could also undo to cover and replace the actual cushion foam. Clark rubber sell foam cushion infills of varying thicknesses. This would be cheaper in the long run.
My old Jag had no foam left in the drivers seat so I shoved an old foam pillow between the leather cover and the frame - this worked up till I sold the car.
