seat hex nuts

Just got new carpet and went to take the seats out and found out one of the hex nuts holding the front seats in is badly rounded should i just drill it out
or is there a better way?

I'd grind a slot in it with a dremel and take it out with a large philips head impact driver (chances are it's rounded for a reason), or get someone to weld a nut to the top of it.

I had one jam once ended up grabbing it with a pair of vice grips & also multi grips &very painstakenly undoing ittook ages.
Also you could weld a nut (middle of nut) to the top and remove it with a spanner/socket. Lay a fibreglass blankets inside the car to protect interior
