just a quick question about the seatbelt warning light will it only activate if im driving the car above 25km without being buckled up or so or should it come on with just the engine is running?
i know it is however the light doesnt come on when i unbuckle the seatbelt while the car is stationary thats why i am asking this instead of breaking the law
that's no true if driving under 25 kph or in reverse you do not need to wear a seatbelt a VT doesn't have that warning or does it i will check on my VX tomorrow
The seat belt warning only lights up for a few seconds when you first start the car, as a reminder. It doesn't light up if you unbuckle your seat belt.
My VX light just comes on for a few seconds then goes off regardless. According to the Australian Road Rules, any time the car is moving you need to wear a seatbelt [rule 264] unless you're reversing [264(2)(a)]. The 25km/h thing only appears to come into it if you're a delivery driver [267(2)].
