    Hi guys,

I remember changing the serpentine belt about 20,000k's ago and just want to know when do I change it again next?? I'm not sure how long they usually last, cos I do around 300k's a week!

The belt have no visible cracks in them and seems to be in pretty good condition.
My mechanic say usually change them every 40,000k's but i think it may be too much.

I'm talking about th accessory belt in front of my vs V6.

Check your service book, it gives you a recommended kms when to change it.

Mine's done 80,000km since I bought a new one in case the old one broke - it hasn't so the brand new one is still in the boot. The manual says to replace if any of the ribs are actually breaking away - slight cracks in the ribs are OK.
