VE SSV
I have a Ve SSV, and just had my 46k service. Cost $653

break it down;
power steering fluid $44
45k service $220
wheel align $45
brake fluid flush $45
1x oil filter, 1x battery cen (WHATS THAT??), 1x element A/CL (WHATS THAT??) 1x brake fluid total $111
engine oil $66
pwer steering flush & fluid $40
workshop supplies $14
waste oil disposal levy $6

can anyone tell me what they were charged for their 45k service, is it normal to get slugged that much. And can anyone recommend another mechanics who are just as good and not that pricy?

Did you not look at the invoice when you paid it? You could have asked them what the items were while you were there.
Also you need to state where you're from. It's a bit hard recommending someone when you don't tell us where you live. Just a note to self, don't get your car serviced by Holden. You'll get reamed every time.

Yeah sorry I should re state, I was advised that would have been the service price, I dont no much about cars so I am really comparing what others are paying for a 45k service. I am in the St george area in sydney.

Also, all those costs add up to $591, not $653.

Oh ok. Well most of that stuff looks about right labour and costs. Except for the battery thing and the element. No idea what those are.
