Service Engine Oil ???

hi guys.. on the dash computer, a warning light just came up.. service engine oil, i checked the owners manual, nothing in there, and the engine oil level appears to be fine... is this one of those pre programmed every 1000 km warning things, or a fault ?

Overseas model software. Get it updated by Holden.

yeah the software has to be re set every service it can be done at a mechanic or holden dealer with the correct tool. I Think it can be done manually have to check ur owners manual for that.

there is a software update that needs to be done at the same time as your ECM,BCM and have the fuel gauge recalibrated afterwards... should be covered under warranty still and takes about 30-40 minutes

My brothers berlina had this too and it turned out some numbnut at Holden had put the 6L v8 software on it instead of the v6 software.

No harm done and Holden reflashed under warranty.
