hey can anyone help me out here with servicing the VZ - slightly different to my old VN.
the sump plug is at the front so I'm guessing I need to reverse the car up the driveway or something so its got a good angle to get all the oil out.
Most importantly, do you take the oil filter out before or after you drain the oil.
Many thanks

id take the oil filter out last only to drain excess oil out before carrying the filter over engine bay but i doubt there wouldnt be much difference what order as the filter is uptop.

Do it on flat ground. You can take the filter out while it's draining.

Guys is it true when you put a new oil filter in after an oil change you should fill it with as much oil as possible to reduce the amount of air?

in cars, nah, there only small filters and fill fast, so no gain

trucks/heavy plant etc, sometimes yes, as a lot of them can take up to a litre or 2,

but anyway you can fill up an alloytec filter to start with

For around $400 you can buy one from Holden if your keen.

I have asked the Ebay Seller that offers them on disc about VZ's and he said he would look into it. Yet to hear back and that was a couple of months ago.

I was talking about the $30-40 workshop manual books.

Keep us all informed about the disc mate
