servicing my vs

    im servicing my car tommorow i have all the oils an filters just wanted to know how much engine oil a 96 vs takes an how much transmission oil it takes
    cheers.

    also has anyone got any tips?

    If you're changing the filter as well, the engine will take between 4.3 and 4.5 litres depending on whether you believe the handbook or the dipstick. And the trans will take about 4.5 litres of Dexron111. If you've never done a trans oil change before it might be best to do a search on this forum for a "how-to".

    Loosen the sump bolt with a spanner etc then when you can, take it off by fringer but make your you have at least a couple of good layers of rag because you will wan to move quick when you have black gold running up your arm.

    only other tip i can give is now would be a good time to check and if need, replace the spark plugs

    you should buy yourself a gregorys book for the VS,very handy to have.it will answer most questions you have.cheers
