Nice
Will get one for the VZ
the auto down on the fender whip doesn't go down all the way some times

 How on earth will you adapt a roof mounted aerial (that actually works) to a VZ?

I know its not a sharks fin but I put a Mazda CX7 aerial on my SSV. Less than half the lengths of the standard one and screws straight in. Only cost $24 from the local Mazda dealer too...

Not unless you want to go drilling holes in your roof.

Either that or you can stick one on for looks only, but not sure why you'd want to do that...

Good thing bout this kit is that it was made for the ve.

Not being smart but how is it made for a VE? Even his ebay page lists all the different types of cars that it will fit. He also states that the kit comes with different screw-on adaptors to suit different cars. Heck, even the photo of the car it's on is not a VE!

Just my opinion but from the pic, it doesn't suit the base very well. The aerial is gloss black while the base is black plastic/rubber.

Go the CX7 aerial - looks like it was meant to be there IMO. Then again, maybe matching the base doesn't bother some people who prefer the super-short look.

It was designed with the ve in mind but as you stated can be used for of types of vehicles by using the different sized adaptors that are supplied, and yes the pic on his ebay page is a ve ss ute which is his own ute.

Here are more pics from different angles,

MY09 VE SS Sportswagon
I have a stubby on our Sportwagon - the reception is fine around town. It looks like it is made from aluminum with the correct thread and painted black.
