Hi everyone.

The title pretty much says it all, does it really cost $3000 to install new servos, a Transgo stage two shift kit and new solenoids? I emailed a company in Perth, as I don't trust anyone here in Albany, and they told me it would cost $3000-$3500.

It's your everyday 4L60E 4-speed auto too ;)

Does it really cost that much? Lots of people here have said that they have got it done for $400-$600, that being a trans service and shift kit installation.

I know there are lots of threads covering shift kits, but is this company wrong, or was I caught off-guard with the price tag of the installation of parts?

And I would be supplying ALL the parts involved.
Tom.

I just want to get my parts installed ha. Don't want a new box. I'll ask a transmission specialist in Perth. Anyone recommend any?

The person said:

"To do the job properly the auto has to be removed and striped due to springs have to be fitted into clutch pack drums."

Is he correct or ?
