Hey guys im thinking about getting my car shift kitted , of heard that it improves gear change and so on.

I would love more info . And does it shorten the gearbox life ? in a years time i dont want to be paying 600 for new gear box .it is a auto .

    And i seen a add 195$ installed.

Shift kits are designed to protect the transmission so it's probably worth it only thing I'm not certain on is if the shift points have to be changed

Trans-go stage 2 shift kits are a good choice, you will be paying around $190 for the kit alone.

Holden gearboxes are notoriously lazy shifters. A shift kit will help dramatically and an external transmission cooler if you don't already have one. Not every shift kit does the hectic 1-2 chirp either.

You shouldn't have any problems with the diff providing the engine is pretty stock but if you go super charging it then you may need to upgrade the diff

A shift kit is a great idea for these box's IMO.
I had a TransGo stage 2 fitted to my Gearbox, Love the result's.
    Well worth the money.
Firm's all the shift's up, Not so lazy anymore.

You should also consider getting a Corvette Servo fitted, Firm's up the 1-2 shift, This will make you chirp 1-2 if you are into that.
As far as i have gatherd, It's alway's a good idea to fit both together, It will cost you around $20-30.

One thing people have to consider is the condition of there box.
If you're current box is tired and worn, High K's ect, Then it will not be the best idea to fit the kit, You will just be wasting money.

My box had 80k on it when i fitted mine, Still going strong!.

The only thing's that will cop a floggin, Is further down the power train, Ie, Tailshaft, Diff.
If you thrash it everywhere, It won't last long.
Treat it well, And you will have many year's of happy motoring!

TransGo is the way to go.
    Don't bother with B&M

Or you could get a tune done for firmer shifts and less slip, plenty of gain in the tune side via line pressure and pressure gain while shifting, the standard shift patterns can be improved to, while your there get the engine done to!
