Shocks/front shock bar.

    Hey guys im looking at changeing my front shocks and i need to get the bar off that connects to the front shocks . Im wondering what size bolt it is ? the one of the top . i have used 15/17 mill no go .

    And wondering what size i need to take back shocks off aswell the bolt in the boot.


    Please heap this thing is doing my head in .

    That bolt should be a 12mm or 13mm, why have you got the spring compressor on while it's in the car?

    Yeah true ended up loosening the bolts. But the bottom joint is stuck tryes everything won't come out. Any ideas?

    Angle grind the nuts off? Depends on what sort of sway bar links you have I've seen 12mm, 13mm, 14mm and 17mm nuts on them lol. Use a small spanner to hold the rod (there should be a slot for you to hold) while you undo the nuts.

    Yeah I ment the away bar is jammed got off the bolts out just bottom joint wont come out

    Lever it out with a crow bar or flat blade or tap on the thread with a hammer. Surely you're going to put new sway bar links on so wont matter if you damage them.

    you can put a bar between the radius rod and the swaybar so it will push sway bar down enought to slide the link pin out, will probably have to do it again putting the new link pin back in.
