Haha, yep I could imagine. I can feel the difference in my brother in laws .45 LC using 200 grain rounds to 250 grain rounds so I assume a rifled slug would be pretty hard.

Anyone reload for .223 have a recipe to use as a starter for AR2209? My cousin want's me to reload for him but I have no experience with a .223
Not sure if 2209 will be too slow for a 55gr projectile, I have tons of the stuff so would be better if it's the same powder as my .243

I'll have a look at what powder I'm using but for me I found 26 grains gave me best results.

Sweet. Yeah I use 2209 but that's a 100gr projectile.

I havn't downloaded in eons , but have AR2206 AND AR2209 in my kit, which covered my 22-250, 308 and 9.3.

but did a search , as i couldn't find my notes and found this, 90 grainers in a 223 wow, nice cal the 223.

Yeah I use their guide all the time, might just have to make a few up with 2209 and have a play.

Speaking of reloading, what is everyone doing for cleaning cases?

I have a tumbler which uses crushed walnut shell. It's noisy as hell when it's on the bench so I have to put it on the concrete floor. Cleans them up pretty well though.

At the moment I ultrasonic clean, then dry, then vibrate with corn cob. I would love to tumble with stainless steel media, I see good reviews but so expensive!
