Short Shifter?

Hey Guys,

I have been having a bit of a look around eBay and similar places, looking for a short shifter for a Getrag 5 speed but not having much luck.

Do they even make them for Holden 5 speeds?

I was under the impression they don't make short shifters for Getrags unless custom made, though i'm hoping i'm wrong as i wouldn't mind one myself.

Try here, apparently they bolt straight onto the T5(not the getrag) and u can put a vz ss stick on it to make it nice and short. Dont think the vz leather boot will fit you can use ur old one just squash it down abit!!!

Well a t5 is a holden 5 speed,
Spoke to a few ppl today on the fone wen getn a quote for a t5 ripshift and none of them said you can get anything for a getrag wen i asked bl mate..

Yeah, I tried to get one for my getrag at SVO but was told the the guys how had short shifters had them custom made, ie formula holden etc..

Anyone else found someone making them for a reasonable price!!??

yea T5 is a holden 5 speed but it is an old one. From VN-VS(Mid 96) come with a T5, which is cable clutch operated.

For us that hav a VS built after Mid 96 we r lucky to hav a GETRAG GM5 which is also a holden 5 speed but a newer better version than the T5.
the Getrag has better ratios and it comes with a Hydraulic clutch

y would ya want a GETRAG box then? T5 seems to be better.
