    What's it worth?

It's worth getting a mechanic to look at it.

Utes can get worked hard and still look good, so watch out for hidden suprises.
Did I mention getting a mechanic to look at it?
I said no to the first one I wanted after my spanner man gave it the thumbs down. Bought an identical one a week later and am very happy.
For me the decision was motivated by need (as opposed to want), and utes are just more expensive

    Redbook:

    1998 HOLDEN COMMODORE

    VS II Utility 2dr Man 5sp 3.8i
    Prices based on km 120,000 - 200,000
    Trade in price guide* $5,400 - $6,700
    National average price - private sale* $6,900 - $9,100

There's definitely nothing like a ute; as the prices attest.

    Cheers.
