And one more point. Make sure the trottle is at WOT. No point in doing a comp test if the engine can't draw in any air.
You shouldn't do this on a VE as you can cause an error to log since the engine is not running. Safest bet is to leave throttle closed.

Ah. ok. So the factory figures take that into account? So I would expect lower figures.

I don't know that it makes much difference on a VE. I have heard reports that it doesn't really reduce the readings enough to be of concern.

take fuse out for injectors and coils, then just crank it over for few revolutions should be fine thats how i done mine and mine was around the 190's reading even with camshaft and 57 deg total overlap, as long as all cylinders are tested the same the readings can be judged
