Agreed with above, the only good thing about a VT 5.0 is the clearance in the bay, makes working on extractors, spark plugs etc so much easier,
but the weight and size of a VT means that a 220KW LS1 is made for the job.

Then again put extractors, CAI K&N (the usual minor mods) and a foamy tune on the 5.0 and it will make a difference!!! say 200 odd kw.

Though do that to LS1 and add a maffless tune you will hit around 270kw+ so that in itself is worth the extra $2000 (the avarge price difference between the VTI and VTII).
    ohh the choices....

If the caprice is v8, then keep it. A much better ride than a vt and the same motor. I would call that a downgrade not an upgrade.
Miss the manual, then smash a manual box in the caprice.

    Thanks for the input.

I should have said the Caprice is a 6. With 110k on clock. I even have the build sheet. Ruebens paint, VP GTS rims, completely stock.

VT is old 5ltr, manual, Almost black with blue tinge [midnight blue?], Horible blue worm interior, fast glass, sunroof. Stock rims. 220k.

The VT is my brothers car. I'me deciding wether to sell the statey to finance it.

So i dont have to decide quickly.
