side door mould removal

hey all,

just thinking about removing the side door moulds off my berlina, has anyone got pics of a after removal so i can decide? wat is normally used to remove that bloody glue.
when i debadged the front side badge left scratches on the paint, u reckon this would happen on the body?

Um do a search there are a few thread floatin round with pics with moulds removed n how to take em off.....
now the glue im preety sure eucaliptus oil takes it off but i would just do a search to double check this as im not 100% sure....
There is a thread round with a How-to guide for removal of moulds....

I've done this and learnt the lesson about getting the strips off. You need to pour boiling water over it to remove and use a scraper or something to easily just slide through the double sided tape top and bottom.

Then use boiling water to soften the sikaflex and pull the moulds off. Use a jug for each 10cm or so. Do it SLOWLY and take your time to ENSURE you dont take the paint off.


On the Berlina strips there are 2 lines of sikaflex in the middle though. I tried everything to remove the sikaflex left on the doors. Eucalyptus oil included. It would not come off. I had it sanded off when I got my doors repainted.
